Andy is a graduate in Business Studies and Marketing. He joined NFC as a management trainee and undertook a number of roles with NFC and Excel before joining the Storehouse Group. At Storehouse, he implemented the strategy to merge the supply chains of BhS and Mothercare and launched the fulfilment solution for Mothercare.com.
His career at Storehouse culminated in his appointment as Director of Logistics. Following the sale of BhS, Andy was briefly involved in a dot.com start up prior to founding Bis in 2000.
Andy has led the development of the Bis business and its merger in 2008 with George Henderson & Partners to form Bis Henderson. He continues to lead the strategic development of the Group.
Andy is passionate about developing and inspiring young talent in the industry. He has been instrumental in conceiving and implementing the NOVUS Trust, where he is the Chairman. NOVUS is an initiative developed to inspire more graduates to enter the supply chain and logistics industry.
NOVUS works with both the University of Huddersfield and Aston University to provide students studying business, logistics and supply chain degrees with guest lectures, mentoring, placements for the summer and a third year year-long industrial placement, in addition to graduate employment. We do this through our sponsors, who, in return, get the cream of the graduate crop, guaranteed “work ready”. In terms of commitment, we ask that our sponsors support us with the provision outlined and have at least one graduate role available for NOVUS students – this is the NOVUS guaranteed graduate job proposition! NOVUS is part of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT UK) family and is chaired by Andy Kaye, Chief Executive, Bis Henderson Group.
